Free Russian-American Cultural Festival comes
To Esther Short Park of Vancouver WA

The AM-RU International Association invite the public to “Soberiha”-2010 Russian-American Cultural Festival a celebration in the style of the traditional Russian cultural holiday at Esther Short Park The event celebrates the music and culture of the Portland/Vancouver-area’s large Russian and Ukrainian immigrant population, estimated to be more than 3,000.
The festival runs from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday, August 21, in Esther Short Park in downtown of Vancouver WA 98660. Admission is free.
The festival is presented by the AM-RU International Association, a Vancouver-based organization of Portland-Vancouver-area, Russian American Colony Singers from Alaska, and  Russian Community Center from Remond, WA, Russian and Ukrainian immigrants and their friends and families. It will include Russian and Ukrainian musicians, singers and dancers, vendors selling Russian and Ukrainian foods and crafts, and craft demonstrations, most of them from the local area.

• “Naimless” ( band)(Portland OR)
• Evan Klassen ( singer) (Portland OR)
• “Ivan-da-Marya” ( Russian Folk Dance group)(Redmond, WA)
• “Turn on Red” (jazz band) (Portland OR)
• String Orchestra(kids) (Portland OR)
• “Alaska Duo” (Zlata Lund and Natalie….) (Anchorage, AL)
• Boris Smolyanskiy(Ukrainian Folk Songs) (Portland OR)
• “Z`Bumba”( Brazilian band) (Portland OR)……
